Industrial Marine Apprentice

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an apprentice to join our busy Industrial and Marine Electrical division. Are you an explorer of all things electrical? Being an Electrical Apprentice in our team means you’ll be trained in providing electrical servicing, fault finding, installations and preventative maintenance to our customer’s sites.

We need the person we are seeking to have the following skills and attributes:

• The ability to be a good team player
• A keen interest in solving problems, learning quickly, and working in a variety of different situations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and general tech-savviness
• A minimum restricted driver’s license is required with a view to secure your full one
• Completion of a pre-trade course in a related subject would be preferable but not essential
• Due to the nature of the work, you will need to be physically able as some lifting is involved
• Achieved or in the process of attaining minimum of NCEA Level 2 Maths and Physics or NZQA Level 3 Certificate in a relevant field

What you’ll bring and develop:

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about the electrical trade and show’s a genuine interest in the technical and creative parts of the work you get to be a part of each day.

Any and all experience in work-related fields, voluntary or school experience and involvement in community groups will be a big advantage when you apply those learnings to your apprenticeship.
